It begins...

Here I am tracing the pattern for the sampler from The New Crewel by Katherine Shaughnessy. I decided to give myself a project in which to try out various stitches, rather than to do a random few stitches here and there.

I'm just embroidering it onto a cotton piece that I bought at Michael's. I much prefer it to the evenweave I also bought there.

My coffee break fascination today: Flickr photos of gorgeous quilts.

Note to self: stop sleeping in. Get up. Run. And get out the door (to the BUS) early.

I'm developing all kinds of habits. Sleepy, lazy, downtown-parky habits.
